New Assembly Instructions: Cut backing one inch larger on top and bottom and 1/2" larger on each side. then cut in half horizontally,
sew seam back together leaving a 2 1/2" to 3" opening in the middle ( depending on the size of the label for that pattern. Measure the front of your quilt. Cut your sewn backing 1/4" smaller than the front of the quilt, which will be 1/8" smaller on all sides when layering, so you can follow the front of the quilt's outside seam when sewing your 1/4" seam. This ensures that your borders look even on the front of the quilt.
Layer batting first, the front of quilt, right side up, then backing right side down. Pin to hold layers in place, then sew a 1/4" seam around all sides. Trim batting as close to stitching as possible being careful not to cut into seam allowances. Turn quilt through opening. Press side seams open. then repress quilt flat. Press label onto
back of quilt over opening and quilt if desired.
